What is your vision? What do you really really want when it comes to your body, your relationship with food? Your life? (Be super clear and specific! ie: Number of pounds lost or gained, number of days you’re exercising regularly, etc) BONUS: How are you feeling in your body and life? Confident? At easy? Sexy? Magnetic? Get CLEAR now.
Why do you want it? How will achieving these goals positively impact your life? The lives of those you love? Your career? The world?
What crazy doubts and limiting beliefs are floating around in your head telling you that this goal/desire is not possible? (Ex. I have no willpower, I hate exercise, I’ll never be able to stick with it, caring about my weight makes me less spiritual or authentic, etc). Are those beliefs ultimately true? (Answer is no ;))
What thoughts feel better/more true? (Pick something that feels hopeful and full of possibility. ie: I release the struggle with food and body for good. Reaching my ideal weight is natural and easy.) This is your mantra!! Say it a million times a day!
This is the important part! You have to believe deeply in your desire. You have to know it’s yours. You have to see it, feel it, connect with the feeling of having achieved it DAILY. Hourly if you have to. You have to hold the faith. You have to believe it’s a DONE DEAL. See it. Feel it. Know it’s on the way.
Get Support. Gather around your people who believe in your vision lift you up. Spend time with people who already have what you want. Write down 3-5 people who will support you in making these positive changes or already do what YOU want to be doing in your life/have the body you want. This is your new tribe. (Note: if you don’t know anyone seek them out online in facebook groups, join their newsletters or follow them in instagram).
TAKE ACTION… Remember, you are deeply capable and worthy of having a body you LOVE. It can be easy. Our relationship with food and ourselves is MEANT to be uncomplicated and joyful. You are meant to have pleasure in the process. You are worthy and capable of having the life you want. By NOT putting your health and well being first you are doing a massive disservice to those you love and to those you intend to serve.
Repeat! Every time you doubt your ability to follow through, get to the other side, go to the yoga class… when you want to binge eat the sugar, skip the workout, repeat the steps. Ask yourself: “WHAT DO I WANT?”… and go from there. It works, every damn time.
