Hi Friends!

I’ve been so impressed by all your comments! Keep them coming!

In order to help you elevate all areas of your life I have included THREE more prizes to this year’s Vitamix Blender Raffle! The winners will be pulled and announced tomorrow (Thursday 12/17) by 12pm!

For the curious ones: the first person pulled will win the Vitamix and then I’ll pull three runner-up winners will get one of the items below. If you have already entered the contest you are automatically entered to win the runner-up prizes!

BEST OF LUCK!!

Here’s what I’ve added:

NEW PRIZE #1: Copy of My New Roots Cookbook: This is one of my favorites from my girl Sarah B over at mynewroots.org! You will love her photos and recipes so much that you’ll hardly know you are eating health food! Her approach is right up my alley and I know whoever wins this will cherish this beautiful book.

NEW PRIZE #2: My Favorite Hot Water Bottle: You may be thinking…huh? I know I know but once you go hot water bottle you don’t go back. I swear. This is such a nourishing practice for the winter and cooler months for those of you who live in colder climates – bringing it to bed with you or wrapping yourself up with it in a blanket with a cup of tea is one of the best ways to zap cravings for comfort foods!

NEW PRIZE #3: My Favorite Candle: I LOVE this candle in Balsam Fir – makes your house smell so fresh and Christmas-y but I love it year round!

MORE ON THE RAFFLE BELOW WITH INFO ON HOW TO ENTER!

If you haven’t heard your health nut friends sing the praises of their coveted Vitamix, here are my top 5 reasons why this Vitamix will totally rock your world…

TOP 5 REASONS YOU’LL LOVE having a VITAMIX

1. SMOOTHies. That is right, who knew that the smoothness of a smoothie could get so dang smooth. Seriously, I don’t know why I love this so much, but I do. Every smoothie I make is like liquid silk, which makes it super easy to drink your greens without flecks of spinach in your teeth by the time you get to the office.

2. Gluten-free and otherwise unbelievable fresh flour right at your fingertips. You heard me right – this puppy can make super fine flour out of basically any grain you have in your cabinets: rice, oats, millet, you name it, which makes it an amazing companion if you have dietary restrictions. You’ll need the dry adapter to make flour using this Vitamix, but it’s totally worth it. There is nothing like baked goods make with fresh flour – trust me.

3. Super easy clean up. You just throw some hot water in there, a squirt of soap and crank it up for a second or two and wah-la! You are all cleaned up and ready to be on your way.

4. Souper easy soup. (get it? heh heh). But seriously. I made this soup using it and it was blended to a perfectly smooth consistency in just a few seconds.

5. Homemade nut butters and nut milks. Ok, I don’t know how I saved this for last, but I started making my own almond milk with my Vitamix and it changed my life. Seriously. I prefer it to regular milk 10 fold and as I always say, when the most delicious option is also the healthiest option, you are on your way to having an amazing life and a body to match. (Psst – if you want to see what you have to look forward to with nut milks, check out my video here).

If I win the Vitamix I am going to make soap!

Just kidding. As I scrolled quickly through the comments I kept misreading “soup” as “soap” and each time I did that I would think- Really? You can make soap in a Vitamix? Well, I am not surprised because it seems like the Vitamix can make anything…

I am embarrassed to say that this millisecond thought process happened a number of times, probably due to all the toxins I have built up in my body from eating too much breakfast pastry. I hope I win the Vitamix so that I can blend my way to health.

I have been really wanting a vitamix ever since I started drinking green smoothies. My basic blender just doesn’t get those leafy greens smooth. They say you should chew your smoothies but I’d rather not HAVE to! I recently started making my own hemp milk, and have yet to experiment with other nut milks but would love to be able to do so more easily. I also am curious about making my own flour. I’d start by making breakfast smoothies for my kids. Smoothies seem like the perfect way to get tons of fruit, veggies, and healthy fats and proteins into their growing bodies (and mine, too). And then…soups, pancake batter, almond milk, hummus, etc., etc. 🙂

  136. Deborah Budke says:

I want to be healthy and would love to start making some amazing recipes!
I would start by making smoothies, soups, salad dressings, and sorbet.

    coconut kale smoothie!!!

coconut water, coconut meat, dates, kale, frozen banana, maple syrup or agave

🙂 it’s the best and only a vitamix could get down the right smooth texture.

  138. Kris says:

I love to cook but have trouble finding time with my work schedule and lack efficiency in my kitchen. II would feed my family home cooked meals each day. Although I try to do this now, I want to step it up a notch with soups, nut butters and other homemade treats to keep myself and my family healthy!

  139. Tonya says:

I’d live to win. If I do it will help me get and stay healthy

    • Krissy Ruddy says:

Hi Jeanne! This is the first I’ve heard of using a Vitamix for a worm factory – love it!! My yoga teacher I lived with used worms for composting and her garden was one of the best I’ve seen! Best of luck! xoxo Krissy

  150. Barbara says:

If I win the Vitamix, there are so many things that I would make, starting with green smoothies! Then some nut butters, and the butternut squash soup sounds wonderful!

  151. Krystal says:

Would love to win this for soups, smoothies and more!

  152. Julia Fields says:

Ahhhmazing! Saw these at Costco yesterday and the nice gentlemen who was making and giving out samples made me a BIG personal smoothie because no one else was around at the time. Made my night! So if I did have one, I would first make my favorite smoothie – maca, cocoa, bananas, protein, peanut butter, chia seeds & hemp seeds… it’s the best ever and is really filling. Then try lots of new and exciting recipes! Thanks Krissy!

  153. Patty says:

OH my Krissy… I’ve just learned about this amazing machine. I would start with smoothies for my 3 kiddos and then soups for me!!

  154. Ali Savitt says:

I’ve wanted a Vitamix for so long!!! I will make nut milks and nut butters, and smoothies all the time for myself and my friends/family/roommate. My favorite thing to make when I’ve had access to a Vmix is a chocoalte “mousse” made out of cashews and cacao and more. Fingers crossed!

  155. Briana says:

Umm…I’m gonna be makin’ aallllll the smoothies! Fingers crossed for this 🙂

  156. Jessica says:

Smoothies smoothies smoothies. Feeling a huge draw to cleanse once I get through the next couple of weeks!

  157. Meredith Clayton says:

I have wanted a vitamix for years just haven’t quite been able to take the plunge. I want one so I can more easily make almond milk for my daughter (my old blender is terrible!) and for making gluten free flours so I can bake bread for my husband who found out this year he is gluten sensitive. After over 30 years of eating gluten it’s been a hard transition! Breakfast has been tough for him without bread so more smoothies would be nice alternative to juicing. Such an awesome giveaway. So awesome to see you’re doing so well Krissy!!

    • Krissy Ruddy says:

Hi Meredith! I hear you with the transition off gluten! I had to make the same switch last year and there is definitely some transition. I do notice though that one of the most significant impacts was switching from bagels with cream cheese in the morning to smoothies and WOW – what a difference! Good luck!! xoxo Krissy
